Terrible to employees!!! Mindfullness? Not within.
The location is outstanding, the food to die for! But when it comes to the employees the upper management at Miraval needs to treat them with the same mindfulness that they encourage their guests to have. During my stay I had the opportunity to talk to a few lovely staff members with bright dispositions. I wanted to know what it was really like to work at Miraval. With this question, at first, I would get a deer in the headlights look after they would say phrases like âÂÂwonderfulâ âÂÂmindfulâ âÂÂrelaxing.âÂÂThe employees shared that they are terribly understaffed, the pay is undesirable, and that human recourses is full of catty women that are more concerned about saving their own face than the employee morale. If you find that the hospitality of the service staff is less than adequate consider the fact that the Man in charge of the dining room smells of cheap liquor and looks at his employees in a rather distasteful way. Or that the red haired woman that works in the dining room looks as if she is about to blow a fuse at any given moment while the younger chef in demo inappropriately flirts with slightly intoxicated female guests. When it comes to the service at Miraval, one should not blame the service staff. The issue stems much deeper and is a reflection of upper management.
